Thanks Nycolette!

01:01:39
I did find it interesting that there were a few out and out No responses to the remote work proposals. For example the requested changes to the remote worksite inspection regulations.

01:02:45
Preventing the Flu is another benefit of wearing a mask :-)

01:10:16
Thank you, Juella

01:10:30
need to queue the intermission music ;)

01:10:53
@Natalia we’re on break :)

01:10:57
ooh, can we have music?!?!

01:11:14
1920's scandanavian yodeling perhaps?

01:13:42
was thinking an instrumental cover of The Girl from Ipanema, or the old vaudeville intermission music

01:13:45
OMG Raina...I never knew your eclectic music style

01:14:02
I can suggest a lot of K-pop

01:19:35
I've been listening to the group Heilung. They are sort of Viking/old german. Very cool

STUFF -- Staff Topics Using Fairbanks Folks ;-)

01:32:04
That's a good one Derek

01:32:13
I have to go to another meeting. I hope you all have an excellent day!

01:32:13

Thanks Alda!

01:40:02
nah I appreciate it Derek! :D

01:40:10
gotta keep me in line after all ;)

01:45:22
I believe UAS and the System Office Staff Councils each received $4,000 or $5,000 each.

01:54:36
for reference, the average survey response rate is 10-15% for a good response rate

01:58:43
"I'm doing OK, but I talk to lots of folks in other departments who are not doing well"

01:58:49
personal life, we got to see other folks not doing well with the pandemic (losing jobs, worried about housing etc) so perhaps a "I'm not doing so bad comparatively"?

01:59:48
I feel like my 2021 is trying to out do 2020 with morale and craziness

02:04:00
How many are adjunct faculty vs staff?

02:05:34
Faculty (regular and adjunct): 525Staff (full- and part-time): 2,412Student employees: 658

02:05:58
not sure if that answers it but that's what's on our website🙄

02:06:05
I would assume COVID influenced that positively, leadership has really been pushing the "If you're sick stay home" plus we had the extra COVID emergency leave that helped costs

02:12:50
that's a good point ALda

02:19:29
None of those compensation decisions will mean squat unless the legislature approves the money. That is incredibly frustrating and clouds what the future looks like.

02:20:38
Exactly, they'd have to advocate for us when it's time to create the budget, and if they don't then all the pretty words don't mean anything 🤷🏻♀️

02:22:59
Hallelujah

02:28:09
well presented, Ronnie. really appreciate the research links too

02:29:01
Thank you Ronnie, very interesting!

02:32:48
re: effort to raise awareness of Staff Council- can we have some sort of open house where we not only introduce reps, but a short presentation that walks people thru structures at the U? that is a piece that I think is missing from onboarding, and a lot of things have changed, might be a good refresher for folks to see where units roll up to, who is on BOR and what their charge is etc.

02:32:58
(online open house obviously)

02:33:05
we were talking about something like that at the SRDD

02:33:21
or rather, it was brought up as an option, at the SRDD

02:33:57
good idea, if it's for SRDD then people hopefully are more likely to have time off to attend

02:34:11
I am volunteering to help ;)

02:34:47
LOL ok Alda I'll remember that!!!!
